The CQ WW DX CW Contest featured incredible conditions, a large group of active MWA’ers, and scores soared! We’ve had more million point scores in the past but they have largely come from multi-op efforts. This contest undoubtedly had more million-point MWA’ers than in any contest in our history! Great efforts to everyone! The MWA score was immense! Our club score of 57.2 million points was up over 103% over last year! Congrats to everyone that was on the air!

Bill, ACØW, joined the VP5M effort and brought home 2.2 million points for MWA! The Scotts – NE9U and KA9FOX also added million of points at the K9CT Multi-Two. Great efforts guys!

In the Team Competition, there wasn’t any change in the standings but the teams got closer. The standings are packed and any team can still win the medals. Team #2 won the weekly competition! Out of the six contests (so far), four different teams have won the weekly contest and eight teams have finished in one of the top three spots. Teams 9 & 1 continue to lead, but they slipped this week as they finished in 5th and 6th spots. Here are the Team Standings at the halfway point of the year:

  • Team 9 – 50 points
  • Team 1 – 46 points
  • Team 7 – 39 points
  • Team 5 – 38 points
  • Team 2 – 37 points
  • Team 4 – 31 points
  • Team 6 – 31 points
  • Team 8 – 31 points
  • Team 10 – 17 points
  • Team 3 – 10 points

Good luck to everyone this weekend in the ARRL 160 Meter Contest!
